What is the difference between the pre-qualification process and the application process?
Pre-qualification lets you know roughly how much you might be able to borrow, using basic credit information, without impacting your credit score.

Can I apply directly without going through the pre-qualification process?
Yes, you can apply directly without first going through the pre-qualification process.

If I apply and am approved, am I guaranteed the same credit limit I was pre-qualified for?
No, you are not guaranteed to be approved for the same credit limit. Pre-qualification lets you know roughly how much you might be able to borrow, using basic credit information, without impacting your credit score. Once you submit a full credit application, Wells Fargo will use additional financial information provided in your application and pull your credit report to make a credit decision. If approved, you will be given your credit limit which can be used immediately to place an order.

I didn’t get pre-qualified. Should I still apply for financing?
Pre-qualification uses limited information to pre-qualify you for credit. We still encourage you to apply, even if a pre-qualified offer was not found.

I was pre-qualified for an amount lower than I need. Should I still apply for financing?
You may be approved for a different amount than you were pre-qualified for, based on additional information provided during the application.

Can I place an order if I am pre-qualified?
No, being pre-qualified does not result in a line of credit being opened. It lets you know roughly how much you might be able to borrow, using basic credit information, without impacting your credit score. To place an order using a line of credit, you must first apply and be approved for a Cocoon by Sealy credit card.

I want to do a joint application. Is a pre-qualification available for joint applicants?
No, either of you can get pre-qualified on your own, but you would need to go to apply directly if you wanted to submit a joint credit application.

I didn’t print or save my account information. How can I find it?
You can call Wells Fargo at 877-805-7744 and retrieve your credit card number, or you can wait for you card to arrive in 7-10 days.
Shipping and Delivery

How does my new mattress arrive?
When it arrives at your door, your mattress is compressed in a plastic sleeve and rolled into a small(ish) box that is designed to be capable of handling by one person. We include unpacking instructions in the box (hint: they’re very simple).

How long does it take to receive my mattress after I order it?
Typically, your Cocoon™ by Sealy will arrive in 5 to 7 days.

Do I pay for shipping?
UPS Standard Shipping is free!

Can I have my order shipped faster? Or shipped for Saturday delivery?
Yes, although the options and costs vary depending on where you live. Call us and we can quote availability and costs for UPS Next Day, UPS Second Day, and UPS Saturday Delivery.

Do I have to be at home for delivery?
For most orders, UPS will leave the box at your front door. If you have special delivery needs, call our Customer Care staff.
For our Ease Power Base, delivered via White Glove carriers, we'll call you to schedule a delivery time that works best for you.

What if I need to change the delivery address after I placed my order?
Call us. In some cases, we can change your delivery address, depending on where the shipment is in the process. There may be a fee to make the change. It’s important to know that UPS cannot change the shipping address unless our Customer Care staff request it.

Do you ship outside the U.S.?
Not yet, but we’re planning for it. If you’re interested, send us a note with your vote for our next Cocoon™ by Sealy country!

Where is my mattress shipped from?
Currently, all of our mattresses ship from our Belmont, Mississippi facility.
Exchanges and Returns

How do I return my mattress?
If you’re unhappy with your Cocoon™ by Sealy, visit our Returns Center. We’ll work with you to exchange or return your mattress. Depending on where you live, some of the options for “return” might include donating, recycling, or disposing of the mattress. In any case, once you confirm the return, we’ll issue a refund within 1 to 2 business days.

How long does it take to receive my refund?
Once we confirm the return, we’ll issue a refund within 1 to 2 business days.

Do I have to ship it back in its original box if I decide to return it?
No. We wouldn’t ask you to do that (it’s probably nearly impossible!). We’ll discuss how to get it ready when you call to talk about a return.

How long is the warranty on my mattress?
Your Cocoon™ by Sealy includes a 10 year full-replacement limited warranty.

Yes, it does.

What if the mattress starts showing dips and body impressions?
First, rest assured that it’s unlikely to happen—we’ve tested the foam extensively, and it’s proven that it can hold up for years of use. However, if it does happen, any indentations 1” or deeper are covered by the 10-Year Limited Warranty.

Can I clean the cover?
You can spot clean your mattress. The cover is not meant to be taken off or washed. If you are trying to remove a stain, dampen a cloth (do not saturate) with a mixture of water and delicate-friendly detergent. Gently scrub the spot and let air dry.

Can I use a mattress protector with my mattress?
Yes, you can.

What kind of sheets will fit my mattress?
You can use any sheet set designed to fit a 10” high mattress. For the bottom sheet, a fitted sheet with strong elastic fitted works best.

How much weight can it hold?
Your Cocoon™ by Sealy mattress can support up to 500 lbs.

Can I use a heating pad?
Yes, you can.

Do you sell the bed furniture pictured on your site?
Sorry, no we don’t. Some of the photos and videos were taken in owner’s homes and some were shot on a professional set—but in either case, we don’t sell the furniture.
About Your Mattress

Does my mattress have a break-in period?
If you’re not happy with the feel of your new mattress, we recommend sleeping on it for at least 30 nights—it can sometimes take a while to get used to a new mattress, especially if your old mattress was worn. But of course you can return it at any time during the first 100 nights.

What’s in my mattress?
Your Cocoon™ by Sealy consists of two basic parts: a Comfort Layer on top and the Base Support System underneath that. Surrounding them both is our Premium Fabric Cover
- The Premium Fabric Cover is both breathable and durable, with stretch-knit construction so you experience the “cushion” of the top layer.
- The Comfort Layer uses our Perfect Fit Memory Foam, a high-quality, higher-density foam that cradles you.
- The Base Support System uses our Essential Support Foam, a heavier, more robust foam that’s engineered to be highly durable and resilient.
- The Premium Fabric Cover is both breathable and durable, with stretch-knit construction so you experience the “cushion” of the top layer.

Where is my mattress assembled?
We’re happy to report that your Cocoon™ by Sealy is both designed and assembled in the U.S.

Does your mattress use chemical fire retardants?
Cocoon™ by Sealy does not include chemical fire retardants, but uses an industry-standard “fire sock.” We put each mattress through grueling flame-resistance testing, and it passed. Rest assured that your mattress is held to the same standards that traditional mattresses are subject to—so you know it’s safe.

Does it transfer movement from my sleep partner?
Cocoon™ by Sealy uses a layer of memory foam on top, and that helps reduce the amount of movement from your sleep partner.

Does the new mattress smell?
When your Cocoon™ by Sealy arrives, there may be a slight smell. Think of this like the smell in your new car. It’s the result of the cells in the foam opening. The most important thing to know is that the smell will disappear—typically during the first week. Just as important to know: the smell is normal and short-lived.

Has Cocoon™ by Sealy been product tested?
Before we started to sell Cocoon™ by Sealy, we tested it using a full set of industry-standard tests, including VOC, ARA and Fire-Retardant testing. But because we’ve been building mattresses for over 150 years, we add a few that go above and beyond the average to test foam and mattress durability. Rest assured: your mattress has passed a battery of extremely tough tests!

Are the foams in my mattress safe? Has Cocoon received any safety certifications? Is Cocoon certified by Certi-PUR?
Yes, the foams used in your Cocoon by Sealy mattress are safe. They’ve been certified by the CertiPUR-US® program, a not-for-profit organization that conducts rigorous safety inspections prior to awarding certifications.
